KANE IS NOT SAFE UNDER CONTE

Aston Villa legend Gabriel Agbonlahor has said that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is not safe under new manager Antonio Conte if the England national team skipper doesn’t meet his demands. Agbonlahor talked about Conte, Kane and Spurs while he was on TalkSPORT.

Agbonlahor further stated that Conte is renowned for placing huge demands on his players and the same situation is expected at Spurs and the players have to meet those demands, including star man Harry Kane who has not been performing to the best of his abilities this season. Kane has one goal and one assist in ten Premier League games, with the lone goal coming during the 3-2 away win over Newcastle United last month.

Villa legend Agbonlahor also stated that he spoke to Ashley Young about Conte and his methods. Ashley Young told him that players who can’t run are not welcomed in Conte’s team.

Italian tactician Conte was the Inter Milan manager when the Nerazzuri won the Serie A title last season and Ashley Young was one of his fullbacks. He masterminded his transfer from Premier League giants Manchester United at the start of last year.

Young spent 18 months at Inter Milan before he left the Italian club at the end of his contract. He joined Aston Villa on a free transfer for his second spell with the club from the Midlands, but he was unable to save Dean Smith from the sack at Villa Park.

The Villa hierarchy made the decision to sack Dean Smith as their manager over the weekend after a run of five successive defeats in the Premier League. His last game in charge of Villa turned out to be the 1-0 defeat at the hands of hosts Southampton, with petite striker Adam Armstrong getting the only goal of the game in the third minute.
